POOL INSPECTIONS

Inspection Service- Know what repairs have been performed or will need to be performed on the pool with our thorough reporting and inspection. A small investment in a leak detection and structural inspection/repair history report before closing can save thousands down the road.. This is far more comprehensive than any pool inspection done by a home inspector. We will dive the pool, test all the plumbing, and function test the equipment and document all repairs and issues as if your pool were a new build construction ready to be turned over in new condition.

Our inspection includes:

-Equipment test

-structural examination

-Plumbing test

-identification of current repairs/patches and plaster stains, cracks, delamination and likely causes

-Cage and Screen

-Deck and Paver condition

The most thorough inspections are performed by leak detection companies, even if you don't use Aquadoctor. No other pool or home inspector is going to dive your pool and test your plumbing. Their test is a simple water clear- check, pump flowing- check. There is no check for leaks and at most some will check the chemistry.

POOL RENOVATION ANALYSIS INSPECTION

No matter what your plan is for renovating your pool and deck area, a leak detection is always the recommended first step. Whether you're thinking of changing deck type/pavers, adding a water feature/hot tub, modifying the structure of the pool, or just resurfacing, our leak detection service can include our experienced recommendation on how the structure and leak detection results may impact your plans. Depending on the scope, this assessment may be included for free as part of the leak detection service. Too often, contractors will overcommit in what they can do or what is even possible on a renovation. It does not hurt to have an outside opinion based entirely on the structural integrity, plumbing feasibility, and layout of your unique backyard pool and deck space.

If you are performing a leak detection after a renovation, you likely just spent a lot of money and had a lot of work performed covering up a major problem. It is always recomemended to have a leak detection performed before a renovation.

POOL SCHOOL

Did you just move into a house with your first pool and not know how anything works? Are you tired of paying a pool service company to brush your pool for 10 minutes a week and check chemicals twice a month? Think you can do the job yourself and save money? At Aquadoctor, we do recommend a pool service company for the convenience in the same way we recommend a mechanic work on your car. That doesn't mean you shouldnt know how your car works or have the knowledge to operate and solve your own issues if the pool service company is not available. Pool school is usually performed when a new homeowner moves into a home with a recently built pool. We have performed hundreds of these informative pool operation and basic introduction to everything you will need to know to service your own pool. If you would like to see how vastly different pool schools are, look them up on youtube. There is absolutely no one that is better than the other and they all kind of say some technically incorrect content but no one really bothers to make them accurate because every pool being so different makes that almost impossible. Most people learn hands on and by doing and seeing things, not watching youtube.

DRAIN COVER INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

It is imperative and legally required that all direct suction lines are VGB Compliant. VGB is Virginia Graeme Baker and she was killed by being unable to surface for air when she was swimming and held underwater by a spa suction inlet with an unsafe cover. The resulting legal case and other cases of death and dismemberment related to pool suction inlets (main drains and vacuums ports) has led to many life saving requirements in swimming pool design requirements per the Virginia Graeme Baker Safety act. The absolute most common dangerous situation we observe in swimming pools are broken/damaged drain covers (damaged plastic, missing or wrongly sized screws) and most commonly suction vacuum lines that do not have a VGB compliant safety cover.

LINE CLEARING/CLOG REMOVAL

Not the most common issue in Florida since most pools have cages, sometimes plumbing lines will become clogged with organic material or any variety of debris, pool toys, swimsuits, etc. The equipment we use is capable of clearing any and all lines that have clogs. Clogs can cause pumps not to operate efficiently, lead to shorter service life, and cause a suboptimal prime, filtration, and conditioning of the water in the pool's plumbing system. Price dependent on number of lines to be cleared.

Pool Service

Pool service is not our primary business. It is something we simply know how to do so we offer this service when a customer either has a green pool they need to filter and condition to clear to make swimmable in a quick timeline or if another pool service is not available. This is offered on a case by case basis and the location is a major factor. We may be able to provide short term pool service. If you call us and ask for pool service, we are going to refer you to a pool service company 99% of the time.

Most Anything that Requires Diving a Pool

We get random calls for different reasons customers need someone to dive into their pool to inspect something. If you are in need of someone to dive into your pool (and it is clear and swimmable), we may be who you're looking for.
